An accessibility bug? Does software need to meet a minimum contrast ratio (it’s the law for web)

What exactly are you trying to select?
To select a path, you can double-click anywhere relatively close to it.
Doesn’t answer my question, and I am aware of how to select a path, you fool.
example can a low vision user distinguish these tiny white nodes against a white bkg, gonna say naw dawg
Excuse me?
The “white nodes” you are referring to are not white nodes. But you apparently know this already and don’t want help.
The bounding box knobs are deliberately low-contrast as not to distract from the shape of the selection. That does not mean that their contrast is perfect, maybe we need to refine it or offer an app setting/use existing system accessibility settings to make them more prominent.
@SujiCo, insulting others is not acceptable on this forum.
thanks for addressing a valid concern, florian
I dont appreciate his condescending tone
do better.
What condescending tone?
I asked you to clarify your issue, so that we can hopefully help you. Then I suggested a potential solution related to selecting paths easily.
I would be happy to hear how to “do better”, as long as that doesn’t include needlessly insulting others.
Again, could you please clarify what exactly you are trying to do, and what the problem is you are thus running into? That would help offering a concrete solution.
The issue is a small nomenclature issue. Those “white” things are call “handles” or “knobs”. Nodes are the things the paths is made of.
So if someone says he likes to select “nodes”, suggesting how to select a path is a perfectly reasonable response. Calling someone “silly” is NOT acceptable.
Cool lets focus on semantics when accessibility is at the heart, Get over it.
@SujiCo, this behavior is not acceptable and I cannot see a productive conversion continuing this topic for the time being. An issue being important to you does not allow you to degrade others, especially not when they want to help resolve the issue.
