hi!
i was wondering if it is possible to to drag a tab out/create a new window within a project. I’m looking for a way to get the text tool to work in the separate window so i can put it up on an external screen, that way it shows the changes I make on my primary screen directly in text.

This is not supported.

I recommend you do that with an InDesign window:
