Sidebearings of deleted components persist after deleting original and decomposing copy

I tried generating copies of my figures through the command:

zero=zero.lf one=one.lf two=two.lf three=three.lf four=four.lf five=five.lf six=six.lf seven=seven.lf eight=eight.lf nine=nine.lf

Afterwards, I decided to remove the original figures and decompose the copies, however the sidebearings still pointed to the original figures. Is this intended behaviour?

What you see are metrics keys that point to the original glyphs. When glyphs are deleted, it should check if other glyphs point to them with metrics keys and remove them. I put that on the list.

It seems to only happen to numbers for some reason. It is quite curious.
