Small cap tabular figures

A client is asking for tabular small cap figures.

I have added zero.tf.sc to my font, but I have no idea, how to select these figure via OpenType Features in Indesign.

Can anyone help?

Right now, I have these figures in my font.
zero (tabular)
zero.lf
zero.osf
zero.sc
zero.dnom / zero.numr / zeroinferior / zerosuperior

If your default figures are tabular, then your .sc figures should also be.

Are your current .sc figures proportional? Then rename them to .pnum.sc and name your tabular small cap figures .sc.

Generally, follow the principle that each OT feature changes only one parameter (proportionality, case). Don’t change two by activating only one feature, so like when you activate smcp and change both proportionality (tf → pnum) and case (lf → sc).

A little Nachtrag. This is covered in the following tutorial:

@mekkablue maybe it would be useful to add the other possibility as an example as well (where the tabular figures are the default ones)? I’m only 90% sure that what I wrote above is correct.

The suffixes should be in the order of the features for auto generation. But since the figure features are a bit more complex, you may end up with manual code.

Remember you can have manual and automated code side by side, simply by duplicating the feature.
