If I copy a glyph from the font view, go to an edit tab with the select tool active, then paste, it would be quite handy if this pastes the glyph next to the current glyph (as if switching to text tool, pasting, and back to select tool). Alternatively, one could argue that the current glyph is “selected” (like in the API) and should be replaced by pasting so that would be an reasonable behaviour, too.
I’ll have a look.
Why replace? I would expect pasting on top.
Seems like you misunderstood.
What I mean is the equivalent of switching to text tool, pasting, and back to select tool. I am not talking about the layer contents but the glyph identity, i.e. “text”.
