Spacing and kerning with keyboard not working

Since I updated this morning, I can’t use the keyboard for spacing or kerning anymore…

G3 3.2 (3169)
Mac OS Monterey, 12.6.1

Same thing here…

Also something is wrong with Rotation tool.

Same here…

Me too. Can’t export either.

Rotation doesn’t work for me.

Fixed the rotate tool.

And of course, the shortcuts still work for me.

I installed the newest update, the shortcuts still don’t work

That is to be expected as I didn’t change anything. As long as I can’t reproduce it, I can’t fix it.

What state is this button in:?

Does clicking it change anything?

I tried, doesn’t change anything unfortunatelly

What kind of Mac are you working on ?

And what kind of Mac are you working on ?

I made a debug version.

Can you please run this from the Terminal. Open a new Terminal window, drag the app into it. Then remove the last space and add /Contents/MacOS/Glyphs\ 3. It should look something like this:

Then press Return and glyphs should start. When you have opened a file, return to the Terminal window and press Cmd+K. Then try to do some spacing in Glyphs. Go back to the Terminal and post whatever showed up there.

Nothing happened.

I downloaded the file and ran it from my download folder. I didn’t want to override my existing app

That works better: Rotation works and I can also export, but spacing and kerning with keyboard and arrows doesn’t.
I’m working on on an iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015 with Monterey 12.6.2

I’m having the same issue. Here is the contents of the Terminal after some commands:

2023-01-23 14:12:41.453 Glyphs 3[67587:2427475] ::spacing keyCode: 123, char: 10748161

The four commands I performed were:

  • Ctrl+LeftArrow
  • Cmd+RightArrow
  • Ctrl+Opt+LeftArrow
  • Cmd+Opt+RightArrow

Maybe related, I also noticed Option dragging selects all types of nodes but it should select oncurve nodes only.

Glyphs 3.2 builds 3171 and 3172
macOS Monterey 12.6.1

Any of you working with a Wacom?

I am not. I work with a bluetooth Apple Keyboard and a MX mouse.

Mac Book Pro, 2018, Monterey 12.6.1

Me neither. I use a Logitech MX Keys + M720 Triathlon.

Those of you for whom the shortcuts do NOT work in 3.2, please click the option that applies to you:

  • I participated in the 3.2 alpha (I downloaded Glyphs 3.2 versions from the Forum manually)
  • I downloaded the 3.2 version as a cutting edge upgrade (I did NOT download 3.2 versions from the Forum manually)

And the same poll for those of you for whom the shortcuts DO work:
