Hi there, I saw someone once doing spacing once only with multiplications (for example: =period*0.5 ) and I also believe to remember that there was a possibility to command the spacing I a way, that it only measures inbetween the baseline & x-height. For letters like lowercase βjβ , it would then not start to measure on the left where the defender is, but on the stem. As a consequence then it would be possible to do negative spacing in this method. Does anyone here know how to do it? Or where I can find the information for it? Ive been looking but seem to not find it.
A tip would be very appreciated :----)
Thank you in advance, Lina
But Please overdo the metrics keys calculations. The usually only useful for small adjustments (e.g. when the βDβ has a slightly different curvature than the βOβ). A *0.5 is usually not something you would do.
