Hello. I want to fill in these fields as best as possible for the typeface I’m currently developing. I’m wondering what should be entered (at minimum) in these fields or if I should use the default values (v and h). This typeface is a geometric sans-serif with slight contrast. Thank you for your help on this matter.
The values are probably slightly different in the stems and the Dimensions. For the stems it might be better not not have values too close to each other. (90 instead of 85+94). For the Dimensions, use the values of those outlines.
No, stems can be close together just like Dimensions, you can define up to 12 values. The specifications say: For example, you might include widths for straight and curved stems in upper and lower case letters. The rasteriser is built to handle that.
Dimensions to Stems functionality would make sense
