Strange handle behaviour

Hi Georg and Mekka,

I’ve been getting some odd handle behaviour since updating on the AppStore.

It happened when I added a point to the line. Deleting the handle creates other weird lines in the shape.

Here:

And Zoomed in:

You can see that the handle is coming from nowhere.

And here playing around trying to delete the extra handle:

It looks like the handles are joined together!

Where did you get the original outline from?

Hi Georg,

I was playing around with this, and it happened on another font I was working on also.

But I figured out if I change the direction of the path it resolves itself and I could delete the handles I didn’t need.

I hope that helps in some way.

Occasionally the path string seems to get messed up in 1.4.3. I believe it happens when the path is opened, but I cannot reliably reproduce it yet.

Workaround: Cutting and re-pasting, or some path operation (like correcting path direction) seems to fix the problem.

On a sidenote, are you sure you need that many masters?

I’ve noticed it happens a lot in this version (App Store).

I’ve never seen that behaviour happen the in the previous version.

*Sidenote, I’m not interpolating, but drawing all the glyphs.
