Strange kerning problem

I’ve installed the GX file into Application Support > Adobe > Fonts and there’s strangeness with the kerning between Re Ro and RO

These pairs are kerned to -20 in all of the condensed

and -30 in all of the expanded

but the values are changing to around 200 in the output. I exported OTFs and those display fine, the problem is only in the variable version. Any ideas?
