I have a Bold weight style-linked to its Regular.
All works well — except in InDesign which oddly wants to link to the Black weight.
Not had this before, but then I do use Affinity in preference.
How can I stop this and make InDesign behave correctly?
All other apps are fine.

I looked online and found this:
. . . .

**Differences in Font Weight Handling**

InDesign and Illustrator manage font weights differently, which can cause confusion when working with the same font family across both applications.
Style-Linking Behavior

```auto
InDesign: This program may default to linking to the Black weight of a font. This means that when you apply styles, it might prioritize the Black weight over others.
Illustrator: Conversely, Illustrator often links to the Bold weight. This discrepancy arises from how each application interprets font styles and weights.
Sorted.
It was a Font Cache
_(I thought these were a thing of the past! — obviously not with Adobe)_
What helps in that case is to have different file names every time. Any caching that happens (and confuses apps or requires app restarts) is related to the file name.
