You can enable alignment via the context menu when control-clicking a component. I think it’d be useful to be able to hold down the option key and have that item change to Enable automatic alignment in all masters.
(Actually, isn’t it much more often that you’d want to enable alignment for all masters rather than for just one? Would it make sense to have that be the default, and maybe Option would allow you to enable it in the current master only?)
