Also - the kerning panel shows 0 pairs. I found a workaround though – open up preferences window first and then kerning appears again.

This is an error we have not been able to reproduce. It only appears for some people.
What about window state?
The kerning panel should work in the lates version. The restoration of the size/scale of the edit view is a bit tricky. I have another look.
