Info box and the Transform panel — screen recording attached. Happens on both G3 and G4.
This issue is critical and hard for me to work on. Any patch or workaround available?
macOS 27.0 Beta (26A5388g)
I have never seen something like this. When did this start happening? Is this happening in other apps as well?
Maybe this is an issue with the macOS 27 beta?
I guess it’s related to macOS 27. It happened since I installed some beta version.
However, I only encountered it in Glyphs, and not in other apps. Tried in Text Edit.
Text Edit has a different kind of text editing (large text view instead of small text fields). Compare clicking in the search field in Font View in Glyphs and in the search field in the Mail app.
I meant the normal textfield in Text Edit — It’s somehow hard to find such “traditional” ones nowadays.
Even in G3, text fields such as those in the Font View are working well.
Happens specifically to infobox and transformation panel. …And Fit Curve as well.

This issue was not present in macOS 27 beta 3 but is now new in beta 4. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon. I’ll also look into a workaround and report back when I know more.
I found a workaround (but I am not sure how reliable it is and still hope Apple fixes this in the next beta). Will be fixed in the next Glyphs release.

Thank you, Florian! Please, do you know if there also will be a fix for Glyphs 3? Unless I am mistaken and there is one already? I am waiting for the funds to upgrade to Glyphs 4, they should be coming soon but I am stuck with Glyphs 3 at the moment, where I believe it is still not working. Thank you so much!
I could not yet figure out a workaround for Glyphs 3.
Glyphs 4 has a 30 day free trial, you can try that and hopefully Apple fixes the issue or we find a workaround for Glyphs 3 in that time.
Oooh this issue was driving me crazy! I’m going to try out that cutting edge version when I get home.

We can’t allocate much resources to work around bugs in beta versions of macOS right now.
Apple fixed the issue in macOS 27 beta 5.
