I’m using a trial version, and the text preview doesn’t show my typeface — it shows the fallback font instead.
I’ve set the font info correctly, but I can’t select the font style in the text preview window.
My font info :
Font > Axe : weight
Masters > Master name : Bold
> Axe cooridates:
> weight : 700
Did you add any instance (in the Exports settings)?

Do you mean the Exports panel inside Font info window ? If so, I don’t have any instance, it’s totally blank.
Since I downloaded the trial for testing, I don’t have an elaborate font setup, just basic font info (font name) with one axis and one master(in the Masters panel, I set Axes coordinates, Stems, Metrics and Custom parameters).
Add an exporting instance in Font Info > Exports.

I tried to add an instance in the Exports Panel using Add instance for each Master like so :
Good news: I can now select Bold as a style inside the Text Preview window, but it still shows the fallback font.
Sometimes you need to change something in the edit view to trigger a proper update. I’ll need to have another look if I can fix this.
Ok, I’ll give it a try and post an update if I find a solution or identify the cause.
Or double-click the edit view to make it pick up the connection to the font. The preview window is document-agnostic and needs a nudge to know which font it’s supposed to preview.
And correct the style linking please: the Bold is the Bold of the Regular.
