The font cannot be used properly after being imported and then exported. Could it be that the G3 parser does not handle the font file perfectly?

What do you mean with “cannot be used”. Is in not exporting, is it not installing?

The font file you have posted has an invalid PostScript name (“Chong Xi Small Seal”). This name may not contain spaces. Glyphs shows this error when you open the Exports tab:

Maybe that is the reason why the font cannot be used where you tried to use it.

You can fix this by using a valid PostScript font name, like “ChongXiSmallSeal”. Or removing the “Font Name” parameter by clicking the minus − button to the right, then Glyphs will generate a valid name automatically.
