TrueType instructor hide pixel preview

Is possible to hide the pixel preview in the instructor?

Also, is posible to set a shortcut for “reverse”?

No. I tend to switch to the greyscale mode, which has the faintest rendering.

Thanks for the tip, although I think adding the option to hide the pixel.
preview it would really helpful. For short sighted people like me, see the small node indexes and thin outlines over the low contrast background due the pixels is hard!

Also should be useful to add more shortcuts for increase/decrease point size, switch between the direction view, etc.

Point size can be changed by comma/period. And the x-key is switching the direction.

Thanks a lot!

The shortcuts are also mentioned in the Hinting: Manual TrueType Hinting tutorial in the Pixel size and Hint direction sections.

Hi! Thanks a lot I didn’t knew about this tutorial :man_facepalming:

I am facing the opposite problem: In one of my files the pixel preview does not show up (in glyphs 2 [1352]),
and in glyphs 3 [3059] also the vertical waterfall preview remains empty.
All my other files work as expexted.
What could be the reason for this?

Do you have instances properly set up and selected?

Yes, I have lots of instances, all of them are working as expected besides pixel preview.

What version of macOS do you have?

I’m running mojave 10.14, but experiencing the same problem on a mac with 10.15.7/catalina.

Can you send me a screenshot?

Just to mention again how I need this :upside_down_face:

That function does the opposite, it hides the red/blue outline and keep the pixels.
