Hi, I am working on a font that I can export as all format except OTF.
This has happened just Today! I have never before had this issue.
Instead of exporting a OTF the app exports an TTF. It is like it has it’s own preference.
Any idea why?
Best Regards, Carolina
Glyphs 3.3 is currently the newest version available.
What method of exporting the OTF are you using? The export dialog with the “.otf” option selected?
And what specific app version do you have? You can see this in Glyphs → About Glyphs (something like “3.3.1 (3342)”).
Hi Florian.
My version is 3.3 (3337). I export the font by
Glyphs / Edit / Export (or ⌘ + E)
Choosing the window “OTF”
Selecting Outline Flavour as “PostScript/CFF” and Selecting Fileformat .otf checkbox
Just your regular export so to speak.
But last week this action worked normal. And also this is not just one odd font, but all fonts.

Hi Florian.
Going through all kinds of fonts, I found my solution.
The script “Export as TTF” was active in one of the masters.
Thank you for all your input. Have a nice day.
All good, Carolina
PS. I leave my solution if any other missed this.
Yes. You can override the user selection with a Save as TrueType parameter in the exports. I prefer putting parameters like these in .glyphsproject files.
