I wish the Glyph > Update Glyph Info command would update the glyph names everywhere, like for instance in the glyphOrder parameter and in the features code. Right now it just updates them in the main database, and everything else goes wacky. The way it behaves now is kind of dangerous.
In texts, you can use the system services provided by Glyphs.
