Update glyph name for icon font is broken

Hi all,

I’m trying to create an icon font in Glyphs following the tutorial: https://glyphsapp.com/tutorials/creating-an-icon-webfont
I created around 50 icons in the private use area. Than i wanted to change the names but this is only possible for unicodes that are not filled with any geometry jet (Glyphs 2.4.1 (983)).
Creating a new unicode, giving it a a name and pasting in the geometry from the other unicode is rather a tedious work for 50 icons.
I thought an update might fix it so i’m now on Glyphs 2.5 (1131) but there i can not change the name of private use unicodes at all any more. First I assign a unicode (typing uniE000) > assigning a new name (typing newCustomIcon) > than it gives me the name uniE000.001 without any unicode assigned to it any more.

Would anybody have a solution to give those private use unicodes some nicer name?

Thank you all,
davidee

Just found out that in version 2.4.4 (1075), renaming the private use glyphs, when it contains geometry, works.
