"update metrics" as a Custom Parameter

would it make sense to have a Custom Parameter available that would update metrics on the generated fonts, to correct wrong sidebearings?
That would be good for connected scripts that have to have the exact same sidebearings, without differences due to coordinate roundings.

does that exist already?

You can do that with LayerGeek. But I have not tried that yet. You may have to do it as PreFilter instead of filter.
