I am still a beginner using glyphs and I am wondering if there is a way to use corner components, in my case to create ink traps, without having to remove the overlaps first?

Because I have just started using glyphs and still only have the mini version I am wondering if this is a feature that only Glyphs 3 offers. Any advise on how to work around this is very welcome.
