Variable font exporting limited design space when using Variable font origin in the center of the design space

Hi,
When I export a variable font using the variable font origin in the middle of my design space, the variable font file minium in width is limited to the Variable font origin (500 instead of 0).

When I export using fontMake (converting to UFO+designspace then generating) I don’t get this problem.

Is it a known issue? Or is there something I need to configure in my file?
