I reused and horizontally scaled three peroid components to compose my ellipsis.
It works as expected for separate styles, but doesn’t work for variable font. Periods look not scaled at all.

Are the scale values different in the masters? Because scaling can’t be variated.
I should add a check and decompose the components in this case.
