Virtual masters with their own vertical metric zones?

I have a variable font with a virtual master for short descenders. Is it somehow possible to set the descender metrics for that master, so the descender zone will properly variate for the TrueType instructions?

For now I have added cvar entries for the descender metrics manually in the exported font :wink:

We are discussing this, but it is a bit tricky. Do you have a UI suggestion?
