Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out to you today because strange grey and pink blocks have suddenly appeared in one of the fonts I’m working on when I’m on the “edit” mode. They don’t appear on my other fonts or in the components of this font. I’ve tried unticking all the options on the “view” menu but nothing works. Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this isue by making them dissappear ? They’re very annoying.
Yours faithfully,
You had a background image but Glyphs can’t find the external file any more so it shows the “missing image” placeholder. You might have locked the image, Right click it to unlock it.
Aaaaah, Ok, that explains it, thank you very much !
I have the same issue, but did not move or change the external image. I only updated to the latest cutting edge version 3341.
What can i do?
Do you have the file as it was before you opened it in the lates version? Could you send it to me?
@GeorgSeifert i can send you a file that us supposed to have the background image. Do you mean that?
What file type are you using? .glyphs or .glyphspackage?
And what Georg means is the file before it was opened in the latest version, so where the images still appear correctly. You can download a prior version of Glyphs from Glyphs Versions. You can install it in parallel to the latest version (rename it to Glyphs 3340.app, or whatever you like).
Yes. But in the state before you opened it in the latest version.
