It means the glyph has a note. You can edit it now in the glyph details box in the lower left.

Is there a way to batch clean this?
Garbage Collection doesn’t delete these notes
select all glyphs and type a space in the glyph notes field in the lower left, then delete that space again (you might need to activate it with the action button).
