Why is the metrics values tied to alignment values

I noticed that metrics values have alignment zones attached to them although them.
Aren’t alignment values and metrics different entries?
What if want my alignment zones to be different from the metrics?

They typically coincide. If you just want the line, leave the size of the zone at 0. The metrics are for describing your design.

For the technical metrics, better set the parameters for typo, win and hhea metrics as parameters, best with the Vertical Metrics Manager script.
