I am new to FontForge, but an experienced Windows user. I am very comfortable with both ToolBars and Ribbons.
Is there a way to turn on either of these two User Interfaces?

You mean you are new to Glyphs?
There are no more toolbars and no ribbons. Both concept are quite poore interface concepts that are not common for Mac apps.

I am not completely new to glyphs. I have been using a very old version of High-Logic’s FontCreator.
My first fonts were 5x7 bitmaps back in the 1970s. But now, the more I learn about fonts the more there is learn.
Is it possible with scripting to add ToolBars &/or Ribbons?
I am interested that ToolBars are not used in Mac apps. Is it all Menus.

It is not possible to add toolbars. What would you like to add?
If you implement a tool plugin, it will be added to the tool section in the main toolbar. You can add stuff to the menu.
