Basic question: How does one create an accented character using Aliases? é for example. I don’t want to paste actual points in the eacute glyph, I want to pop an alias of my e and an alias of my acute in there. Sorry for the basic question and thank you.
An alias is called a “component” in Glyphs. You can learn about using components to create glyphs with diacritics in this tutorial:

Thank you! That helped. I’m reminded of working at Font Bureau in 1993 and asking David Berlow how he added accents to characters. He gave me a brilliant response detailing optical placement and spacing, considering optics at all sizes, etc. and I thanked him. (But I just wanted to know “HOW” to add accents to characters!)
