GJ Nelson is the founder of GJ Nelson + Co., a design and motion firm based in Greensboro, NC. GJ Nelson + Co. creates media for small businesses and big events, with a special focus on nonprofits. Previously, he worked as a custom type designer with Font Bureau, Inc., where he released several retail fonts, including Tasse and Interstate Pi, as well as FF Providence and FF Providence Sans with FontFont. In 2025, he rekindled his passion for type design and is currently working on a new series of playful—and hopefully useful—fonts.
