3408 not working for me at all

I just updated to 3408 (up from 3405). It launched successfully once, but beach balled the first time I used the shortcut for the grabber hand. Subsequently, it hangs if I try to launch it. The icon bounces in the dock for over a minute, and when it stops, it’s not actually running properly. The “force quit” option enabled at the bottom of the popup menu in the dock. It takes quite a bit of time for force quit to quit it. Or, if I wait long enough, it quits on its own.

Maybe a plugin needs to be updated or something?

I’m on an M3 Max system with Mac OS 15.3.2.

3405 still works okay, so I’ll go back to that for now.

Oh, wait. Now 3405 won’t launch either. It worked at first after I put it back in the Applications folder from the Trash, but it beach balled when I was using the transform tool. Same story as above when I try to relaunch it.

Interestingly, I don’t get the usual post-crash bug report dialog after force quitting it. Maybe because it can’t relaunch.

I tried going back to 3334, the official current version, but the same thing happens. Something seems to be really borked. I’m waiting for a process to finish in another app, but I’ll try rebooting when it’s done.

Never mind. This seems to be an unrelated problem with my system that happened to manifest when I was trying to use the newest cutting-edge version of Glyphs. I don’t think it has anything to do with Glyphs. Carry on. (And you can close this topic.)

Just to follow up, Glyphs (all versions) is working normally again after the reboot.
