Accented Glyphs do not export in Glyphs Mini

Hi,

I am making my first font with Glyphs Mini. I set up a basic character set, including some accented glyphs (made from components), added some kerning pairs, etc. Now I exported my font as OpenType and opened it in Fontexplorer X Pro. Here, none of the accented glyphs are shown…?

I received no error message whatsoever, so I don’t know what went wrong.

Any ideas?

There is a bug in the current version of Glyphs Mini that prevents some components from exporting. Workaround: Before exporting, you can make a copy of your file, and there, select all glyphs and decompose (via the Glyph menu), then export.

Do not test your fonts with Font Explorer. You will run into cache problems. Use the Adobe Fonts folder instead:

OK I will try this.
FYI I opened another existing OT Font and exported this, like I did with my own font: this gave no problems at all. Any idea why?

Will there be a fix for this bug in the future?

It works fine now. Thanks!

  1. The bug is fixed in the upcoming version.
  2. Finished OT fonts should have no components. Glyphs decomposes compound glyphs automatically at export.

This bug was fixed in version 1.5.3 (41)?

I’m trying to export some accented glyphs and it still fails.

I managed to export only the glyphs with acute accent, but not width circumflex, tilde and grave accent.

Can you send the .glyphs file in question to support at this domain, please?
