Adding guides right above the selected node

Hello,
May I ask, is there any way to add a guide right above the selected node?
I often add guides on nodes but every time I need to drag and place right on the node.

I know, if two nodes are selected, the guide will be placed that it goes through both. Why not when a single node is selected? The default orientation works fine because it is easy to change the orientation from horizontal to vertical

Good point, will add it on the list.

Workaround in the meantime: I just updated the mekkablue script Guides > Guides through All Selected Nodes. If only one node (or anchor) is selected, it will put a horizontal guide through it, and select it right away for further editing. You can set a keyboard shortcut in System Prefs.
