Adobe Alternatives issue - not showing correct glyph

Hi

I seem to have a bit of an odd issue with my current WIP.
It’s a handwriting style and has 8 versions of each glyph (I know insanity). When creating each version I duplicated the base glyph and updated the name (.calt, .calt2 and so on).
I have done all my glyphs, kerning OT programming for the alts and exported to try it out.

FontBook reads everything fine from what I can see.
Adobe indesign and such hates the lowercase. The uppercase is fine it all look and swaps the alts just as expected. The lowercase on the other hand seems to have mudded the unicode. When I type lowercase r what i actually get is an accented y.

I’m stuck to what it could be and how to fix so any help is gratefully appreciated

(I’m hoping the screenshot has uploaded so you can see what I mean)
