Any Arabic type resources for beginners?

Hey guys,

I want to expand my knowledge and try design Arabic font.
Do you have any resources for me to learn the basics from as I don’t speak or read Arabic?
What is the Helvetica of Arabic type? Can you give me examples of good fonts to look at?
