Why does it suggest huge widths for a scaled component?
What’s the best course of action?
a) Don’t use scaled components?
b) Don’t use Automatic Alignment?
c) something else
How does the base glyph look? What is the spacing of that glyph. Normally the width is scaled, too.
thanks, it was a small circle (100x100), changing its width helped

Maybe I’ll switch to a larger one to avoid these mishaps
What are you trying to do with scaling a component like this?
trying to make all/most of the glyphs using components.
ie the circle gets reused in parts of B, O, P, Q, R, etc.
