I’ve been using the Bracket trick to substitute portions of letters in Glyphs 2. I recently upgraded to Glyphs 3 and my bracket layers have changed in the conversion. Now it seems the bracket layers don’t function, or the syntax has changed.
Is there a new tutorial on this? The one I used before was here:
I believe there may have been a bug in Glyphs 3.0.2 (3047) beta with bracket layers per this post. I’ve been out of commission for a few weeks, so haven’t checked to see if it was fixed in build 3048.
The tutorials will eventually be updated to match Glyphs 3. The layer popups should hopefully make things easier since one doesn’t have to remember the syntax, now. I’m on Glyphs 3.0.3 and the bracket trick still doesn’t seem to work… was fine in Glyphs 2.
@GeorgSeifert can we get a fix for this?
