It seems that going through each instance and using “ Glyphs> Update Glyph info, then Update Metrics “ numerous times per weight should be possible as part of the “Generate Instances” command. Is this already possible, and I just missed it, or can it be implemented?

Why not? I see the little markers indicating out of sync errors so I clear them. Should I just ignore them? Why do they show up?
That depends why you manually generate the instances.
The out of sync metrics are unusually one unit difference caused by rounding. You can safely ignore this.

What are you trying to do? Exporting the insurances? Then you just export the main file directly.

Yes, Sebastian, I didn’t know there was another way.
I am… impressed. I hope this revelation can now somewhat offset the last 10+ years of generating instances separately before exporting them.

I am closing in on 82 years old, Sebastian, so I doubt very much if I have another 10 years left to use it

But now with this new insight, you don’t need 10 years, just 10 seconds
