Sometimes I cannot align components automatically, reason unclear to me. In this case it’s a simple lower case ‘o’ component with some wavy bar (0473). Also the dialogue message is unclear and not helpful.
Not sure it’s a bug, but what is it?

It seems that there is a path in the layer. That prevents alignment altogether. You can still disable the alignment on the component as you might like to remove the path and avoid the component to jump.
I weirdly wasn’t aware that a path prevents a component to get aligned automatically.
Why is it programmed like that?
Because it would misalign the outlines and components.
