Changing only 1 master side bearings

Hi! First post on here. I’m kind of new to font making, although I’ve been a lettering artist for nearly ten years.

I’ve designed a font with two (light and black) masters for interpolation. I’m struggling to work out how to only effect the side bearings of the black master. I’m probably missing something really simple ha. Thanks!

  • Setting a sidebearing? The number you type in is always only for the currently displayed master.
  • Batch-edit? Glyph > Transform Metrics also only works on selected layers.
  • Metric keys? Prefix them with == and they are layer-specific.
