I have searched some relevant questions on this forum, but only thing I could get was ‘changing every glyphs (on a specific layer)’. I am wondering if it is possible to select glyphs to change the width, which might be useful for dealing with a large set of glyphs like CJK.

You can select multiple glyphs in Font view and change all of their widths to a new value by entering it in the bottom left inspector.
Enter a new value and press Return to change the width of all selected glyphs.
You can also first filter for a specific subset of glyphs using the filters in the sidebar on the left. Once a filter is selected, select all matching glyphs with Edit → Select All (Command-A).
