Can you try to start without plugins. Hold down the Option + Shift key when you start Glyphs.
In GM 2.1.6 I’m having occasional trouble where I hit View:Zoom to active glyph and the program locks up such that the active glyph cannot be viewed or edited. The error seems to be an open shape. To recover I have to create a new font, select all and cut then paste all glyphs in the old font into the new one. Unfortunately, all my guides disappear and need to be re-created. What advice can you give me?
2nd issue: (GM 2.1.6] about addingf images, the handbook is not clear, I can’t seem to figure out EXACTLY where to store the images so when I quit GM and then restart the images are still there? What is the secret?
Can you send a screenshot of a locked edit view and send me the .glyphs file?
If it looks up, can you click the “eye” symbol in the lower left.
Normally you would store the image close to the .glyphs file, maybe in a folder next to it.
Thanks, if it locks up again I will do so – I am really trying to triple check my work before hitting the zoom button to prevent a reoccurrence . My replys are being limited for new users so here is the reply to item 2: Your suggestion mirrors exactly the handbook text. Unfortunately, both storing the image in the same folder as the glyphs file AND in a subfolder next to the glyphs file does not work. When I import the image I have to enlarge it significantly, carefully position it and lock it in place to use it as a template. Does all this setup work defeat the idea that the image should survive closing GM and then reopening with image intact. NEW REPLY: It ( the “zoom to active glyph” lockup) happened again. How do I send you the glyphs file and the screen shot you requested new users are limited to 3 replys and cannot upload attachments?? Your website will not even let me post a reply to your response - so I have to keep editing the original entry. help! I am using the version from the app store.
You can change the resolution of the image in Photoshop. That way you dont need to resize the images all the time.
Do you have the version from the App Store or from our website?
