I sell fonts primarily on Creative Market - I have one getting some sales lately because it is quite trendy, but it seems like it is all newbie designers who don’t know what OpenType features are or how to use them. With each sale I expect a message soon after - sometimes accusing me of selling them a font lacking all the special characters they see in my preview images. I have even edited the product multiple times to specify that they must use the font in a program that supports OpenType features…to no luck.
So I have considered making a PUA encoded version so users can copy and paste the alternates etc. Does that make sense? This has only happened to me with this particular font, I never receive messages about any of my other fonts and therefore never added PUA encoding to my stylistic sets!
My issue now is that when I try to add PUA encoding , Glyphs 3 immediately crashes. Trying to solve this now.
