Dash not showing up

I’m working on a font and just updated from Glyphs Mini to Glyphs 2. I’m trying to create a - in the font (like one you would use in a phone number) and it’s not working. I’ve created all the hyphens and the minus glyphs, but still it won’t even type a - (the key on a macbook that is shared with the underscore). Is there a different glyph with a different name besides the hyphens or minus I should be using?

I found a fix in your article “Getting Your Glyph Names Right”. I created a new glyph and named it uni002D which translated it to “hyphen” and now it all works great!

Adding hyphen directly should have done the trick just like that.
