Disable (A) for Annotation Tool

Is there a way to do such a thing?

Actually is there a way to change* the shortcuts for the tools.

  • This is more of a personal thing, since I have this ingrained habit of using “A” to deselect in Illustrator and I keep making the same mistake resulting in red annotation marks all over [smile].

For all shortcuts? Because I would love to disable cmd+D for duplicate. I accidentally clone a glyph at least twice a day.

You can already do that in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts. Just give Duplicate a different shortcut.

There is a mekkablue script, App > Set Tool Shortcuts, which lets you do exactly this.
