"Don't ask again" in "Do you want to reload" dialog does nothing

When a UFO file is changed on disk, Glyphs asks me many times if I would like to reload it. Checking “Don’t ask again” does not stop it from asking again.

Changing a UFO font while it is open in Glyphs is currently a very unusable experience. Running, say, ufinormalizer, while the font is open in Glyphs will give me dialogs that have no end and I have to kill the application to stop it.

Doesn’t it ask to confirm change in each changed file?

Same issue here. It’s really inconvenient if I’m using Glyphs to edit a UFO, then I also do something to that UFO from an external script. I basically just have to force quit Glyphs when this happens. I imagine that if I clicked “Reload” for every file in the UFO, it might actually work, but most UFOs have hundreds of files, so this would be pretty bad.

I’d love from the “Reload” button to simply reload the full UFO. “Don’t Ask Again” should function to never ask again, if a UFO is modified outside of Glyphs – it would just reload automatically.

Reloading a currently open font and juggling the file system events are both tricky issues. We have longer-term plans to improve both of these so it works much more seamlessly. However, the many dialogs are somethings that we can probably address sooner.

I at least fixed the “Don’t Ask Again” checkbox.

Hi,

I mistakenly checked the checkbox but I’d like to “uncheck” as I find the refresh handy in my case (I’m checking interpolations on OFT. Is there a way to make the dialog appear again?

It should ask again when you restart the app.
