Dragging an alternate layer to its master should swap them proper

Hey,

currently when you have a master layer and an Alternate layer (presumably similar for other special layer types) and you drag the Alternate layer onto the master to swap the two, what happens is:

  • the shapes swap correctly
  • the now master layer remains marked as Alternate layer, even though it now is a master; I think it should lose the special layer attributes and styling in the layer list
  • the now alternate layer is just a layer copy and has lost the Alternate layer settings; I think it should properly swap and receive the same special layer settings the Alternate layer had before the swap

Nothing crazy, but it would be a lot more intuitive that way.

Cheers,
Johannes

@GeorgSeifert pretty please :slightly_smiling_face:

Okay, one more time with video.

A case where I want to swap all alternates with the base layer. Drag and drop the alternate on the base layer swaps them all right, but then I have to go in un-mark the former alternate, and re-mark the former base as alternate. This should just happen automatically when swapping a special layer on to a base layer.

Pleeeease :slight_smile:
