Dropbox using large amounts of memory in folders with .glyphs files

Has anyone else experienced this? I get Dropbox using anywhere from 2–40GB of memory when I’m working actively in a folder. I’m in contact with their technical support team right now but I wonder if anyone else has this issue?

This might be because Autosave files are saved as .glyphspackage, which contain all glyphs as single files. Did you look into that?

I have that in my ignore file so it shouldn’t cause any issues but I’ll suggest it to them too.

I didn’t notice that, I run all my files from a dropbox folder

I think Dropbox stores versions of the file. And as the file is changing all the time, it stores a lot copies?

The autosave files should be excluded from Dropbox. We add special metadata to these files so they are not synced by to cloud storage services.
