Easy way to cut out smaller shape from a larger one?

Friends,

Is there an easy way to cut out a smaller shape from a larger one? I want the large oval to be indented with the negative shape of the small semi-oval. I’ve found difficult ways to do it, but I’m hoping there’s an easy one too! :slight_smile:

No, you will have to cut the paths with the knife tool and reconnect them.

There is a bit strange workaround. Put a bigger shape around your paths like this:

The path direction is important. The big and the cutting shape should have the same direction, the reminding shape needs to go in the other direction. Then remove overlap and remove the outer path.
